EASE, GAUGE & SWATCHING with Elise (in-person)

Learn everything you need to know to knit a sweater with success! Elise will guide participants through finding a good knitting pattern, how to read sizing and ease information, and how to swatch for gauge.
This class is essential for brand-new garment knitters and a great refresher for anyone looking to expand their knitting skills!

Socks 101 and Sock KAL with Elise

Learn everything you need to know to knit a pair of top-down socks in the round. New and experienced knitters are welcome to join us for a sock KAL!
Materials: 1 x skein of sock yarn (suggested: La Bien Aimee Super Sock); US 1.5 needles, either 40" circular for magic loop or 6" DPNs.
Recommended pattern: Late Night Socks by iknit2purl2.

LEARN TO KNIT: BEGINNER BASICS with Shellye (In-person)
WEDNESDAYS, 7 - 9 pm
Session 1: January 15 & 22, 2025

Learn the basics of English-style knitting with Shellye!
Whether you're picking up this wonderful hobby for the first time, or coming back to it after many years, Shellye has the patience and experience to get you started on a lifelong knitting adventure. Students will learn one method for casting on and binding off, as well as the basic knit and purl stitches. The class fee includes needles and practice yarn, so you don't need any additional supplies.
PLEASE NOTE: The maximum class size is 6 students, adults only. There are no make-up sessions for missed classes. Cost: $100, includes supplies.

Colorwork knitting is on our minds to get us inspired for the new year! Join us to knit or crochet your favorite colorwork pattern - you'll have support for learning new techniques and a friendly group to keep you motivated to the last stitch.
The $35 KCAL fee covers ALL sessions, and $25 can be applied as credit toward a new yarn purchase. We always appreciate you using yarn purchased from Uncommon Threads!

Cast on with confidence! Whether you’re making your first sweater or simply need some guided assistance with a new pattern, Elise will help you through the whole process. Sign up for multiple sessions to walk you through an entire project or stop by for as many as you need to get through your WIP queue.

This is a group session, so participants will take turns getting help. It's amazing what you can learn listening to other knitters' challenges and solutions! Group size is limited to 6 people. Registration in advance is recommended to secure your space!
